Flemington Auto Repair

I like the facilities and the clarity of the invoice. On the other hand, I was surprised to see that the owner lacked the basics in customer service. When I approached him to ask for a set of windshield wipers, I was rudely told to wait even though he was seemingly looking at some internal paper. I am not sure if the auto mechanics business is different than mine where customer experience and good service is key for the business. Have not gone back and will not after that. On the other hand, they were honest indeed when I left some belongings and they promptly called me about it.

I came up to New Jersey on a vacation. Prior to the vacation My check engine light came on in my Nissan Xterra and the dealership kept telling me that it was simply a gas cap problem. So they replaced the gas cap and told me everything would be fine. My check engine light came on and they dealership again told me it was fine and I drove up to New Jersey. As I was driving the check engine light came on. I took the car to honest one and they were able to properly diagnosis my problem as fuel leak and emissions problem and were able to tell me how to have the car fixed and that it would be safe to drive back home.

Since I had an experience with Goodyear of Flemington telling me I needed a power steering fluid flush because my power steering fluid was dirty on an electronic steering 2010 Toyota Corolla, I decided to change to these guys. It only took 6 months to be dissapponted. I brought my 2014 Toyota Venza In for an oil change. I had quoted the local dealer Fred beans for a price vs honest 1. The price was about the same and honest 1 had a coupon on their website for a free tire rotation. So I went with them. I brought the car in, but before I did, I went ahead and changed my cabin air filter and my engine air filter. I did this because when I went to schedule my appointment with Fred beans, they reminded me my air filters were due. So I said ok self, you can change these without paying the labor to a dealership. So I did. I then called honest 1, and made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. I drop the car off and I get a call about the car. They say they want to discuss the 2014 venza. I call them back andrecord the call. They tell me that at 30,000 miles my car is due for additional service. They offer me emissions cleaning service which I decline. They then tell me that my cabin air filter and engine air filter need to be replaced because they are dirty. Except for the fact that I just replaced them Myself the day before I brought the car in for 30,000 service because I didn't want to pay the labor to do something so simple. Scott (the guy on the phone) struggled to give me a justified response when I told him that I was surprised they were dirty because I just replaced them myself. Scotts exact words were, "at 30,000 we recommend you replaced your air filter and cabin air filter, which are both dirty." Well I am very surprised to hear that two air filters I just changed are dirty. Long story short don't trust honest 1, despite the name, they are no different from every mechanic in Flemington. If anyone finds a good honest mechanic please let us all know.

Scott was great! Shop was nice, clean and high tech for kids too. Reasonable price, fast and reliable service. The convenient and the place to get my car serviced without worries.

Friendly staff, quick service early in the morning. I also left my phone there and they happily set it aside for my fiance to pick up later in the day. I recently moved to the area and I'm happy to have found a quality auto repair shop close by.

I went in for an oil change and Grant Keeler put in 5 quarts of oil when my car only calls for 3.5 liters. My check engine light came on a week later. The service was fast but it was wrong and I'm paying for it now.

acted like he did not see my wife come in and when another person came in waited on them before my wife RUDE.... will never come back ,our money spends anywhere !!!!!

They held on to my car longer then expected and I had to return my car because the initial work did not fix the problem but I was very happy with Barry's handling of the situation. He explained in detail why the issue was difficult to diagnose and fix and we were able to settle on a good price for the additional work. I ended up being very pleased with how open, honest, and friendly he was in dealing with the issue.
